You may be wondering how these schemes work and why the freebie site would do it. Well basically the freebie site joins up with other companies such as LOVEFiLM and AOL as advertising partners. To get your free gift you are required to complete an offer with a company such as LOVEFiLM or AOL, once this offer has been completed it gives the referral company a certain amount of money as commission, say £50. Then you need to refer some other people to do the offer on the freebie site, say 10 other people, this means the refferal company would get £500 from all your referrals which would be enough to give you a free gift and leave them enough money with a tidy little profit. Say you chose an Xbox 360 as a gift, it costs around £300, refer 10 people to do an offer, the refferal company gets £500, £300 is spent on your free xbox 360 and they are left with £200 profit.
So that is how it works, you both get a good deal and are both happy.

"The sites are based on affiliate marketing, being paid money for advertisement clicks. When a user signs up to a referral website, they must complete an offer. All you have to do to complete an offer is sign up to an offer site via a link on the freebie site and complete the requirements. Some offers are free and involve a free trial, while others can cost up to £10. The most important thing to remember is to read the requirements carefully and don't cancel any offers early or your offer credit will be reversed. By completing your offer, the freebie site is paid for that offer completion.
Once you have your offer credit, it's time to gather all the required referrals. A full referral which counts towards your free gift, the referral must also complete an offer successfully. To gather your referrals, you are required to get them to sign up via your personal referral link found on the freebie site. If the referral doesn't use your link, they won't count towards your referral count.
